Jay Brazeau
Jay Brazeau is a Canadian poet who resides in Ottawa but lives on the outer edge of imagination—a world where cats dig houndstooth jackets, chickens sell eggs and a pigeon’s pockets are packed with popcorn. Brenna Jeanneret
Brenna Jeanneret is a neurodiverse kid-lit creator and kid at heart. Her debut picture book, The Law of Birthdays, was published in May 2024 with Cardinal Rule Press. She is the co-host of the kid-lit podcast You May Contribute A Verse and is a member of SCBWI. When she's not writing, you can find her rock climbing or road-tripping with her husband and son in their VW van.

Helen Kemp Zax
Helen Kemp Zax loves to write poetry, especially rhyming poems. Abrams Appleseed will publish two of her To-Do List rhyming, metered picture books in 2025. She is co-winner of the 2021 YorkMix International Children’s Poetry Prize, 2018 MG Katherine Paterson Prize winner, and 2019 Finalist. Her poetry appears in anthologies including the Oxford University Press anthology The Sea’s Song, and in magazines including Cricket, High Five, The Caterpillar, and The Dirigible Balloon. Helen lives in Washington, DC with her husband and her Aussiedoodle, Huckleberry Finn.
Hazel Knox
Hazel Knox is a children’s author, poet and occupational therapist. She was a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Awardee in 2021. Her debut chapter book, The Night Pixie, is out in September 2024 with HB Publishing House. Find out more at hazelknox.com.
Bri Lawyer
Bri Lawyer is a former third-grade teacher with her Master's Degree in education. She has poems published in The Dirigible Balloon, The Toy, and Little Thoughts Press magazines. She has won numerous writing contests in the writing community. Watching her children giggle during story time unleashed her passion for writing humorous picture books. When she's not writing, she can be found on a volleyball court, reading, playing board games, getting lost driving somewhere she’s driven a million times, dreaming about where to vacation next, or spending time with her husband and two littles.

Lauri C. Meyers writes in a little nook under the eaves of her New Jersey home. Her poems have been published in Little Thoughts Press, Highlights Hive Five, Paperbound, The Dirigible Balloon, and others. Deborah Reidy
Deb is a former elementary teacher from Indiana, USA. In the classroom, she enjoyed sharing the wonders of poetry with her students as she helped them write their own poems. Today, she has the good fortune to be a poet herself. Her work has been published in Cricket and Highlights, The Dirigible Balloon, The Toy, Little Thoughts Press, and the poetry anthologies What is Hope? and Hop to It. Deb is also the author of two educational resource books.

Jonathan Sellars
Jonathan is a poet and author who lives in London. His poems have been published in magazines around the world and he has a published picture book called Polly Plum: Brave Adventurer.
